Special Highlight of Curated Digital Artists from Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan is a thriving country where art tradition and innovation meet. The 2026 Digital Art EXPO, with the help of Atesh Hub and the GOAL association, has curated 3 digital Azerbaijani artists who have traveled to Megève to present their artwork.

Emin Mathers

Emin Mathers (b. 1990, Caspian coast, South Caucasus) is a lens-based visual artist whose conceptual and experimental practice spans photography, monotypes, and documentary observation. Over the past seven years, he has developed a distinct visual language that blends science, spirituality, memory, and meditative presence. His works explore human perception, symbolic moments, and the metaphysical dimensions hidden within everyday reality.

Mathers’ photographs often undergo multilayered processes—ranging from alternative printing to immersive spatial design—each stage crafted to deepen the viewer’s experiential encounter. He sees himself as a conductor of cosmic insight, translating the ideas of the emerging Aquarian era into visual form and expanding photography into a medium of imaginative and temporal transformation.

Key projects include NØVA III, a long-term exploration of the cosmic scale of imagination; Oilbow (since 2016), which gives voice to the Caspian Sea and its ecological condition; and eye SpectOcularity, a three-year investigation of the communicative power of the human gaze. Through large-scale prints and portal-like compositions, Mathers investigates the interplay of light, consciousness, and the fourth dimension—positioning his work within a metamodernist framework.

His works have been exhibited internationally, including at Baku Photography House (“DEFOCUSED”) and KOLGA Tbilisi Photo (“Watch to hear”), and are held in multiple private and museum collections. Mathers has also participated in NFT New York (2023–2025), demonstrating his engagement with emerging visual technologies and contemporary digital culture.

Ramil Mammadli

Ramil Mammadli is a digital artist working at the intersection of cyber-futurism, neo-futurism, and abstraction, where digital systems meet the inner states of the soul.

His visual language emerges from the convergence of technology and internal energy, transforming emotional and spiritual impulses into abstract structures of the future.

Ramil graduated from Music School No. 21 named after L. and M. Rostropovich, focusing on violin, and his many years of experience as a dancer shape his unique artistic movement. Rhythm, composition, physicality, and the body’s inner vibration naturally flow into his digital works, making them vivid, dynamic, and deeply tactile.

He creates visual spaces where sound becomes form and movement becomes pulses of light.

In his recent projects, Ramil explores transitional states between the human and the system—moments when spirituality encounters the digital environment, and neo-futurist abstraction becomes a way to express what cannot be articulated through words. His works embody a state of “in-between”: a sense of loading, awakening, and inner resonance.

Ramil’s works have been exhibited in Azerbaijan, China, the United States, Italy, Belgium, France, and Turkey, including international digital exhibitions, festivals, and NFT platforms.

He participates in multidisciplinary projects that merge art, movement, sound, and new media.

Nigar Safarova

Nigar Safarova, working under the pseudonym Nigassandra, is a digital artist and game creator based in Azerbaijan. In 2023, she graduated from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts with a specialization in cinema and television color design.

She works primarily in the field of pixel art, where she explores themes of nostalgia and emotional memory, aiming to create immersive experiences through recollection and sentiment. By combining traditional and contemporary elements, her practice focuses on developing a distinctive visual language within digital media.

In addition, she works on concepts and visuals within the game industry, bringing her artistic perspective into interactive environments and exploring the intersection of art, storytelling, and digital play.

Thierry André Krief

Thierry André Prosper Krief was born in April 1960 in Paris. A multidisciplinary author, his childhood was deeply influenced by the creative environment of his family, which included many artists.

In 1967, at the age of 10, he was hit by a motorcycle and fell into a deep coma. During this time, he had a near-death experience that awakened his artistic sensibility, his connection to the unseen world, and his intuition. From 1967 to 1984, he attended weekly drawing classes and intensively studied the visual arts, while also learning piano, guitar, photography, and poetry. From 1977 to 1980, he worked as an activities coordinator and director at a holiday resort and as a photography instructor at Club Med, where he also helped organize musical performances. From 1980 to 1986, Thierry André Prosper Krief, then a university student, founded and presided over the photography club "Plein les Yeux" (A Feast for the Eyes), while also working as a photographer and cameraman to cover sporting and academic events. In 1986, he earned a doctorate in Dental Surgery. From 1995 to 2000, he focused on creating landscapes and abstract subjects. In 2000, he moved to the south of France and produced "Symphonie d'amour" (Symphony of Love), a collection of poems, watercolors, and musical compositions on the theme of love. Subsequently, he wrote numerous lyrics and songs for independent artists and created music videos. From 2005 to 2011, he organized three exhibitions on the theme of "Symphony of Love." From July 16, 2005, to July 23, 2011, the first "Symphony of Love" exhibition was held in Clans, in the community center, thanks to the efforts of Josette Combes, who organized everything perfectly. On February 14, 2011, at the MuseAAV in Nice, another "Symphony of Love" exhibition was held, this time thanks to the museum's artistic director, Nelda Goglio, a talented organizer. The opening included a poetic and musical video performance with Philippe Molino. On July 10, 2011, he exhibited at the Villa Sana in Nice, presenting a collection of paintings, poems, songs, and music, with the participation of his friend Philippe.

From 2011 to 2024, Thierry Krief dedicated himself to writing the saga "Alexander and the Gate of Dreams," a science fiction story focused on the elevation of consciousness. Inspired each morning between sleep and waking, he enriched this 500-page book with 70 musical compositions, 50 90x90 cm canvases illustrating key scenes, and a 10-minute short film. From December 5 to 20, 2024, he will be featured at the Venice International Art Fair with three of his first paintings from his forthcoming book, exploring the themes of body, space, and consciousness. From September 5 to 7, 2025: Monaco International Book Festival with a presentation of the novel "Alexander and the Gate of Dreams" and an exhibition of four works at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. From September 7, 2025: Exhibition of four of her works in the Monaco gallery "Multi Art Gallery By Wendy Lawers".

Marta Zaremba

Marta Zaremba completed her studies in architecture and urban planning at the Technical University of Wrocław, in Poland (where she is originally from), as well as in Wuppertal, Germany, where she received a scholarship. She has worked as a freelancer and as an employee for several architectural firms in Poland and Switzerland. Among her most significant experiences, she participated in the renovation of the Théâtre de Beaulieu in Lausanne with Fehlmann Architectes, as well as projects related to landscape design and the creation of spaces for human interaction. Visual art has been a part of her life since childhood. During my adolescence, she won several prizes in art competitions, up to the European level. At university, she organized outdoor outings for students and explored architectural drawing and art school.

For her, art, whatever the means of expression, allows us to connect with human space much more profoundly than architecture. It creates a thread of understanding of feelings that could not be communicated otherwise.

In 2015, she started in Switzerland with her exhibition "Around the Heart" at the Galerie Insolite in Geneva, then she sold her works in collaboration with online galleries. In Monthey, she organized two editions of a group exhibition combining art and integration,

entitled "Artists of the World." Living in Valais since 2021, she is actively involved in the region's artistic and cultural life. A volunteer for several associations, she contributes to the development of their visual identity and communication, which has allowed her to develop her skills in graphic and digital techniques.

Her recent project, the "Beelievers" NFT collection for Native, opened the doors to the world of blockchain and digital authentication, a field that was initially quite foreign to her as an artist. Fortunately, she was lucky enough to have the support of her husband Robert,

a blockchain specialist, and a fantastic team who provided invaluable support and advices. She is currently working on an exclusive, limited-time offer reserved for Beelievers NFT owners: physical acrylic artworks on canvas.
